Good questions. Clear answers.
Practical guidance for sharing a workflow and understanding the findings.
What is an AI workflow audit?
It is a focused review of how a business process works today. Sightline looks for repeated effort, slow handoffs, and missing information, then explains where AI, ordinary automation, or a process change could help.
Do I need to connect all our tools?
No. Start with one workflow and a representative sample. You can upload selected files or a reviewed walkthrough. Direct account connections are planned; the available sharing options are shown in your workspace.
What should I include in a walkthrough?
Show a typical task from its trigger to its outcome. Explain which tool you use, what you copy or check, who you wait for, and how you know it is complete. Use sample records where possible, avoid passwords, and review the recording before sharing.
Are the savings guaranteed?
No. Event counts and timestamps are observed evidence, while handling time and recoverable capacity may be modelled estimates. Validate assumptions with your process owner, include implementation and operating costs, then measure a pilot before making broader commitments.
Does AI make the final business decisions?
An audit proposes improvements; it does not deploy them. Important decisions such as payment approval, legal commitments, or staff actions need appropriate human ownership and separate implementation approval.
Can I exclude sensitive information?
Yes. Specify exclusions during onboarding and leave unrelated files out of your upload. Written exclusions require scope review before collection opens. Do not upload passwords, credentials, personal records, or information you are not authorised to share.
What happens if I stop sharing?
Withdrawing access stops future collection and processing for that audit. It is different from deleting information already collected. Your data page has separate controls and explains retention and the effect of any applicable agreements.
Is the audit permission also permission for research?
No. The audit onboarding permission covers delivering the audit service. Additional research, data licensing, or model-training uses need separate authorisation under the applicable agreement. Review any additional terms before approving them.
